Neck liposuction
In this situation, a small incision, 3-4 mm long, is made under the chin. After that, excess fat is removed using vacuum suction. Neck liposuction is especially popular when a double chin appears. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia, and the recovery period can take from 5 to 10 days. Often, during a neck lift, the surgeon begins the procedure with liposuction of the chin area.
Classic neck lift
Can be performed in conjunction with liposuction. The operation lasts about 2-3 hours in a hospital setting. Preparation for surgery
Preparation for a neck lift includes:
- Stop taking any medications that impair blood clotting 2 weeks prior to surgery.
- Stop smoking completely 2-3 weeks before the operation, as smoking impairs wound healing. This also applies to other forms of nicotine use, such as nicotine gum and nicotine patches.
- Have a light dinner the night before the operation and arrive at the hospital in the morning on an empty stomach.
- Clothing in the postoperative period should be buttoned, not pulled over the head or removed.
How is a neck lift performed
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and lasts several hours. The main stages of this surgical procedure are as follows:
1. Treatment of the surgical field with appropriate antiseptic solutions.
2. Next, the surgeon makes several small incisions in the skin: in the chin area and behind the ears.
3. After that, the doctor strengthens the superficial muscle of the neck (platysma) and gives it a new position, fixing it with several stitches. Also, during a neck lift, excess fat deposits and part of the skin are removed.

Rehabilitation
