They are the creators of new faces and bodies, those who help people regain their self-confidence every day: from minor changes to major transformations. Their work gives people a new life—plastic surgeons.

Question: Will Face ID recognize you after plastic surgery?

Dmytro Slosser: It depends on which surgeon... Well, after me, I hope it will recognize you (smiles).

Dmytro Slosser, plastic surgeon, has 27 years of experience in reconstructive and aesthetic medicine, performs unique ear reconstruction surgeries using the patient's own rib.

Question: How often do men come to you?

Dmytro Slosser: The percentage of men coming in for plastic surgery has increased significantly in recent years. It used to be around 5%, but now I think it's at least 7-8% of men. It's interesting that the demand for surgery has changed in general. Previously, people only came for liposuction, rhinoplasty, and ear plastic surgery. That is, standard things that are not very noticeable. Now, people are very boldly going for facelifts and tummy tucks. There are those who make radical changes to their faces. There are things that did not exist before.

Question: Is it possible to get six-pack abs without physical training?

Dmytro Slosser: I like those photos where they put a grill on their stomach and you can already see the six-pack abs. It's practically the same thing. It looks very funny. We can go over it with cannulas during liposuction, break the fat into “six-pack abs,” the main thing is not to make a mistake in the amount. That's one thing. And the second thing is that when a person bends over, it gathers on the stomach... It's not very pretty, I wouldn't recommend doing that.

Question: Can breast implants burst?

Dmytro Slosser: Some patients come in and say, “Could they explode if I fly on an airplane?” No, that doesn't happen. In very rare cases, the implant itself may lose its integrity. The implant's shell may tear, but this is covered by the warranty, and the company that supplied the implants is obliged to replace them.

Question: What is the strangest request you have ever received?

Dmytro Slosser: You know, there are quite a few cases like that. The last case was when a girl removed a mole from her face and then came to me and said, “I'll pay any amount of money, just put it back. You can take it from another place, from another person.” To me, that seems a little strange. Some patients say, “I don't have any fat, can you take some from my husband, for example?” People, this is the 21st century, you have to understand that it's impossible to transplant fat from another person.

Question: What are the three most popular requests in plastic surgery?

Dmytro Slosser: These are nose jobs (rhinoplasty), breast augmentation or breast surgery, and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). But I think there are plastic surgeons who specialize more in liposuction, for example, so they may be more likely to be approached by those who want to reduce their size.

Question: What happened to Nikolai Tishchenko?

Dmytro Slosser: Oh my God, everyone is talking about Tishchenko. Maybe he was stung by bees, I don't know. I can't say whether he had plastic surgery or not because I wasn't there, I didn't hold a candle. But it's obvious that some kind of injection technology was used.

Question: If you don't like your nose, can you return it within 14 days under the warranty?

Dmytro Slosser: Yes, of course. We give a guarantee and prescribe a new nose. We have our own store, you come in to try it on, and if it fits, great (smiles). After 14 days, you can't return the previous shape because after the operation you have to wait a year or at least six months for the swelling to go down, and only then can something be corrected or changed.

Question: What do you like most about plastic surgery?

Dmytro Slosser: Recently, in the context of the war, I enjoy being able to help our wounded soldiers. Young men come to us for complex operations, and the joy of patients who have undergone plastic surgery is incredible. People have started smiling and stopped hiding from others... Lately, that's what gives me pleasure.
