Otoplasty under local anesthesia

Protruding ears in a patient. A plastic surgery procedure, otoplasty, was performed under local anesthesia. Technically, ear correction surgery is considered a relatively simple operation. It is most commonly performed in patients aged 6–7 years, but it can also be successfully carried out in older individuals under local anesthesia. During otoplasty, the surgical access is made along the back surface of the auricle.
