A weekend facelift is a modern surgical procedure that has recently been gaining popularity as an alternative to traditional facelifts. This method helps to correct and reduce wrinkles and sagging skin that appear in the lower part of the face (mainly the neck and chin) as a result of the body's natural aging process.

The name “weekend facelift” comes from the short recovery period: for example, a patient can have the operation on Thursday, recover over the weekend, and return to work and their normal routine on Tuesday!

How does a weekend facelift work?

A weekend facelift should only be performed by a qualified plastic surgeon who is highly skilled in this modern technique. I have all the necessary knowledge and skills to perform this procedure correctly and naturally, taking into account the anatomical features of each patient.

I focus only on the lower part of the patient's face, removing sagging skin on the cheeks and jawline. During the operation, I make small incisions in inconspicuous places behind the ears and on the neck and lift not only the skin but also individual muscles. This allows me to preserve the maximum naturalness of the final result and reduce healing and recovery time.

Since the structure of the face, skin condition, and aesthetic expectations of each person are unique, in each specific case, I adapt to the individual needs and anatomical features of each patient.

With the help of a weekend facelift, I can reduce nasolabial folds, make the jawline more defined, and eliminate a “double chin” and so-called jowls.

A few days after the operation, the patient will no longer need to wear bandages, and the delicate sutures can be easily concealed as they are located on the neck and behind the ears. That is why a weekend facelift is the ideal option for those who want to regain a fresher and younger appearance without disrupting their usual rhythm of life for long.

Who is a candidate for a weekend facelift and how long do the results last?

The procedure is recommended for men and women aged 40–50 who are noticing the first signs of aging and want to improve their appearance but do not yet require radical surgical intervention on the entire face.

In cases of significant skin sagging, a traditional facelift is a more effective option, in my opinion.

Full recovery after a weekend facelift usually takes 5–7 days, which is significantly less than after a traditional facelift (4–6 weeks).

The results of such an operation usually last from 5 to 10 years. However, the duration of the effect depends heavily on individual factors such as lifestyle, facial care, and the natural aging process of each patient's body.

To maintain an attractive appearance for longer after a weekend facelift, I recommend using a high-quality sunscreen or moisturizer with SPF 50+, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and opting for professional facial care.
